1. Early Magazine Covers
2. The Poster Cover
3. Pictures Married to Type
4. In the Forest of Words
1.) Well when i think or see "early magazine covers" i imagine possibly raggedy papers or just plain black and white made of very thin paper,..booklets. I dont see much of a resemblence to magazines they look more like little booklets or a old regular plain book but for adults. Early magazine covers... more like thin papered booklets ajaja.
2.) The poster cover is probably my second favorite type of cover because it really allows you to see the subject of the magazine. The featured, or main subject of the magazine, should always be put on the cover. When a magazine allows you to fully see the subject it shows they truly care bout what and who the readers are reading about.
3.) Pictures married to type is a nice type of cover because you the reader are not completley left in the dark about what the magazine holds inside. The picture of the subject has enough of it to be seen and the type on the cover does not disturb the reader when seeing the picture. In the case of a good magazine having enough info and giving the buyer a preview is always a great way to go. Thats why the poster cover is MY FAVORITE cover type .
4.) Last but not least the forest of words is one to get lost in. I mean ur in a sea of words. Its great to a certain extent to much info covers up the subject n whats there left to see of the cover picture. Yea ur giving enough insight most people dont plan on just reading the whole magazine at once. People tend to want to look at photos so if most of a magazine cover has words u wud expect that through out the whole magazine there wud be nuthing but words to read and hardly no pictures to see like a newspaper.
